500+ WHP Subaru WRX

Car: 2002 Subaru WRX

Nick first came to us in July 2004 to upgrade his WRX with a AEM EMS management system and a CR Radiator and the rest is what you see here. Nick and his wife Heather drove up from Alabama to have us tune the car at that time with a Force Performance Green Turbo and an Ingen FMIC kit. The car at that time made close to 370whp on pump gas. A year later the car was trailed up to us with the hopes of building a 500+whp Suby... and that's what he received!

Engine

ARF SPEC 2.5L Street Fighter Bottom end complete with coated pistons and Darton Sleeves. The heads received Ferrea ValveTrain and a street port and polish.

Turbo / FMIC

This kit on Nicks car is one of kind, fabricated in-house using only the best. A GT35R sits atop ARF's T3 adapter with an external wastegate. The intercooler is complimented by 3" aluminum polished piping. The get rid of unwanted compressor surge between shifts a dual outlet TurboSmart BOV was used.

Exhaust system

The Downpipe and Exhaust was hand built by ARF using 304 SS 3" piping from the turbo to the bumper.

Engine Management System

AEM was called upon to tweek the fuel and ignition curves. Not only does this beast make over 500whp it also gets 26 miles per gallon on the highway!

Brakes

A Willwood 4 piston brake upgrade all around gets the car stopped in time between stop lights.
